Typical Finale- Roy Halladay I bid you adue

As the clock dwindles down on the last game (hopefully) of Doc's last game as a Blue Jay, I can't help but to laugh. This game is the epitome of Roy Halladay's career as a Jay. He pitches an almost flawless 4 hitter should be complete game, and his teammates can't support him. I love Roy, so much that I hope he leaves. He deserves better, a team that actually can put together hits and play the game properly.

Obviously there is something wrong with our team because we cannot fathom the idea of having a productive game. I do not know who those Jays were that we caught a glimpse of in early April, definitely not the team i'm used to watching. Our clubhouse must definitely lack any sort of true clutch confidence because when the game is on the line, we absolutely choke.

Now even if we move Halladay and get the hefty return we deserve, we are still in the hole for about 3-4 more years. Lets look at our blue chips

Keepers:
1) Aaron Hill
2) Ricky Romero
3) Adam Lind
4) Travis Snider
5) Brett Cecil

High Value to Trade:
1) Roy Halladay- were not gonna win with you, and you want to explore the market. Lets get what we can and move on. Lets be realistic. I wish I had the reins right now instead of our JOKE of a G.M. J.P! Billy Beane obviously didn't give you something important... a brain!
2) Scott Rolen- He can't hit the longball anymore, and his average is going to be the highest he can hope for. Get what you can.
3)Marco Scutaro- Upcoming free agent, let move him. He's been awesome, but who knows if we can keep him.

Who were screwed with:
VW & AR. The reason I abbreviate their names is because like Voldemort, their names shall not be mentioned due to the mere rapage they have caused to the Blue Jays organization. These two losers have set the franchise back 5 years, both financially and talent wise.

If we can package either of these 'tools' with our valued players it will be a blessing. But J.P doing that is waiving the white flag. Please, someone in the Blue Jays organization stand up and realize that he no longer has our best interests in mind. He knows if he does these trades now, all the building he has done has been for nothing, and his entire stay with the Blue Jays organization has been a complete and utter failure. We are in need of a completely revamped roster. Lets clean house, and it all start with our failure of a leader J.P.

Jays get whipped by Bosox

Over the last few days, we have seen the Jays drop 3 big games to the Red Sox. Of course we all know that it is way too early to be looking at these games under the microscope, but any matchups between AL East teams are key. The Jays could have made a statement this weekend. We may be young, we may be inexperienced, but we're here and ready. Tallet threw a gem in the first game only to be outplayed by that flukey knuckleballer Wakefield. These last 2 games though have been absolute torture to sit through. All I can say is that these games were NO INDICATION of how the Jays will fare this season AT ALL. Cecil and Ray both played in their first series at fenway, and with the Jays trying to make a playoff push for the first time in 15 years, how many people wouldn't crack under that pressure? As J.P said 2 weeks ago when we called up Cecil and Ray, they weren't ready. Period. So how can you even look down on the Jays for losing these 2 games. Honestly though, I think J.P is an awesome general manager, and has gotten the Jays all the tools to make a playoff run. A few misfortunate events to our pitching staff may had derailed that goal, but our rotation is on the mend.

J.P., here is my advice for you:

1) Lets get these guys Cecil and Ray back to AAA where we both know they belong. I know that Janssen has been tearing up AA and Romero is healthy despite his recent AAA struggles. Get those done quickly before any more damage can be done.

2) Stop complaining to us about how we have a limited payroll. Go out and get some experience for our staff without breaking the bank. Get us some veteran pitching for some backup behind doc, so we have more than 1 pitcher we can rely on. No offense to Scott Richmond, but he should not be our #2 pitcher.

Look at what the White Sox tried to do today in attaining Jake Peavy. Why don't you try to make a similar move, which would astronomically improve our chances at making the playoffs. Without any help, we will be in rough shape against those yanks and sox. Take some chances, make some moves, thats what a G.M DOES!! They dont sit on their ass all day hoping their players are going to develop into stars. THEY ARE PROACTIVE.

Here is my wish list that I would make:
1) Ben Sheets - Incentive laden contract (low odds)
2)Roy Oswalt (2 yrs left)
3)Justin Duchscherer
4)Jon Garland
5)Doug Davis
6)
Brandon Webb (Injured, but awesome addition)

We're Still In First.

Jays Win 8-6: Big Win Boys

I guess this is the Jays we should get used to seeing this year. Giving up some runs, and then putting them back up with our blistering hot bats. Hopefully we can stay hot for a while, which could mean big things for this years Jays.

Big ups today to B.J. Ryan. After a few shaky starts, I was able to see a glimpse of the old bulldog we remember. He started out 0-2 on the first 3 batters he faced. Both hits we saw were sliders out of the zone that were put in play, but nothing to worry about. He was in the zone, and his speed was close to what we payed for when we signed him to that hefty 5 year contract.

Snider proved me wrong today, showing that he does deserve to be in the bigs. He hit is 2nd and 3rd bombs of the year, both no doubters.

Lind was able to keep up tonight going 2/5, but I was upset to see him strand 4 base runners tonight. Twice faced with runners on 2nd and 3rd, 2 out, and both times he got out, grounding out weakly and striking out.

All in all though, I love to see the fight in these boys, they've definitely picked up the pace from last year. We keep up this hitting, and somehow manage to come close to our pitching staffs performance from last year, and you have the making of a Cinderella story. Rays Part 2?

Keep it up, and we could see big things

Jays So Far: Report April 13th

Wow, I can't say enough about how great this last week has been. With all the let downs in Toronto sports recently, the Jays have been the lone bright spot since that 3-0 start we saw with the Raps back in September. Now I know that its extremely early in the season, but who would have thought that after 7 games the Jays would be leading the headlined AL East? Definitely not me.

Since the 1994 lockout, the Jays have been plagued by inconsistency. Any Jays fan has had the difficulty of watching a team finish with a mediocre 70-80 win season for the last decade and a half. We've seen stars like Clemens and Delgado come and go, but never a team with a real shot at placing ahead of the stacked Sox and Yanks.

Last year, I thought coming in we had a legitimate shot at fighting for the AL East. We had the rotation, and a lineup that was solid enough to make a serious run. But plagued by injuries and a horrific showing by Frank Thomas, we finished 4th in the AL East.

After finishing with one of the best pitching staffs last season, we now have the fortune of relying on an inexperience rookie staff. I would say we have the BEST ace in baseball. Doc is a workhorse, who gives it his all day in and day out, and is the most under appreciated athlete in Toronto sports. He IS the Toronto Blue Jays.

But today, I am gonna cover our hitting.

I love Vernon Wells, but 126 million? Come on J.P., talk about over spending. I wouldn't compare that deal to Barry Zito's (worst contract in MLB history), but that money is what you pay for a superstar. Is that what Wells is, because that is what were paying him to be. The only way I see that contract being worth it, is if I see him hit 40 dingers, and about a 0.330 avg. I hope this is the year we see him shine again, yet those stats seem far out of reach. Hes good for about 30 this year, hoping that hamstring doesn't fail him again.

Rios. All I can say is that there is a special place in my heart for him. Being a season ticket holder, I have watched him come up, and slowly, and I mean SLOWLY, bloom into a great everyday right fielder. Nothing brought me more joy that to watch him 2 years ago show the potential we all know he has. But since an injury that caused him to miss some time, he has yet to fully regain that beautiful power stroke of his. My belief is that Rios holds the key to the future of the Blue Jays. He can either be the player who almost garnered a trade for Tim Lincecum, or be the above average player we all saw last year.

Guys I like on the Jays:

Lind. Thank you. You have shown me that the Toronto organization did have at least some plan for our future. I love seeing a Jays player knock the ball around at a godly .467 average. Hitting with RISP (runners in scoring position) is something that we never saw next year, and seeing him hit behind Wells and Rios, he will have plenty of opportunity to do that all year.

Hill. The next Roberto Alomar. He looks great this year, and should be a mainstay at 2B for the Jays for a large part of our future. He is tagging the ball with authority, and making nice defensive plays to boot.

Scutaro. A great utility player that has finally been given a shot to be a starter. He has shown that putting him at leadoff was no mistake. He is getting on base, and giving the Jays a chance to win.

Rolen. I hate Troy Glaus. Period. With a smile on my face, I can now say that the Jays won that trade. With Glaus on the IR again to no ones surprise, Rolen has been a key ingreadient to the Jays early potent offense.

Snider. Best pure power hitter I have seen come up in the Jays organization since Delgado. I still think he is way too young and inexperienced to be up with the Jays. Hopefully he can prove me wrong, and start killing the ball like he did in the opener.

Our hitting has been superb, and keeping it up is most likely not going to happen, but we can all pray right?

MVP? CITO GASTON. He is the man. Fuck Gibbons, if we had Gaston last year, we would have won the Wild Card.

Pitching up next, but there is little optimism there.
