Jays get whipped by Bosox

Over the last few days, we have seen the Jays drop 3 big games to the Red Sox. Of course we all know that it is way too early to be looking at these games under the microscope, but any matchups between AL East teams are key. The Jays could have made a statement this weekend. We may be young, we may be inexperienced, but we're here and ready. Tallet threw a gem in the first game only to be outplayed by that flukey knuckleballer Wakefield. These last 2 games though have been absolute torture to sit through. All I can say is that these games were NO INDICATION of how the Jays will fare this season AT ALL. Cecil and Ray both played in their first series at fenway, and with the Jays trying to make a playoff push for the first time in 15 years, how many people wouldn't crack under that pressure? As J.P said 2 weeks ago when we called up Cecil and Ray, they weren't ready. Period. So how can you even look down on the Jays for losing these 2 games. Honestly though, I think J.P is an awesome general manager, and has gotten the Jays all the tools to make a playoff run. A few misfortunate events to our pitching staff may had derailed that goal, but our rotation is on the mend.

J.P., here is my advice for you:

1) Lets get these guys Cecil and Ray back to AAA where we both know they belong. I know that Janssen has been tearing up AA and Romero is healthy despite his recent AAA struggles. Get those done quickly before any more damage can be done.

2) Stop complaining to us about how we have a limited payroll. Go out and get some experience for our staff without breaking the bank. Get us some veteran pitching for some backup behind doc, so we have more than 1 pitcher we can rely on. No offense to Scott Richmond, but he should not be our #2 pitcher.

Look at what the White Sox tried to do today in attaining Jake Peavy. Why don't you try to make a similar move, which would astronomically improve our chances at making the playoffs. Without any help, we will be in rough shape against those yanks and sox. Take some chances, make some moves, thats what a G.M DOES!! They dont sit on their ass all day hoping their players are going to develop into stars. THEY ARE PROACTIVE.

Here is my wish list that I would make:
1) Ben Sheets - Incentive laden contract (low odds)
2)Roy Oswalt (2 yrs left)
3)Justin Duchscherer
4)Jon Garland
5)Doug Davis
6)
Brandon Webb (Injured, but awesome addition)

We're Still In First.
